Whitney Tilson, Democrat For Mayor, Submits Over 14,000 Ballot Petition Signatures

“Our call to restore common sense to City Hall is resonating because New Yorkers are hungry for a city that is safe, affordable, and prosperous”

NEW YORK -- Whitney Tilson, Democrat for New York City mayor, submitted more than 14,000 petition signatures on Thursday to qualify for the Democratic mayoral primary ballot, marking a major inflection point for the first-time candidate. Tilson has more than three times the signatures needed to qualify for the ballot.

“Today is a great day. I may not be a career politician, but I will be on the primary ballot this June thanks to the support of over 14,000 New York City Democrats who are fed up with business as usual,” Tilson said.

“Our call to restore common sense to City Hall is resonating because New Yorkers are hungry for a city that is safe, affordable, and prosperous,” he continued. “With working families leaving the city in droves, we cannot afford to rely on politicians who have already failed to solve our problems. Join us as we fight for a true change in the leadership of our great city.”
